Upstairs downstairs analysis

Upstairs downstairs is a 2010 remake of the original series which aired from 1971 to 1975.The title is a representation of the social class of the characters which consists of the wealthy residents of the house (portrayed as "upstairs") and their inferior servants/labourers (portrayed as "downstairs"). Therefore the title suggests that certain individuals have superiority over others due to their social classes for instance,despite being inferior to the masters of the house, the servants would usually be superior to "commoners".
